We all know the benefits of ju-jitsu, for adults it can improve fitness, stimulate awareness, defend youself or others. For children it is believed that the training is especially useful for the victims of school bullying, also it is a good way of channelling excess energy, but please choose your club carefully what does YOUR club offer.

Bushido Ju-Jitsu Academy is run by fully qualified Governing Body Grade 1 coaches. With us bding a non-profit making group, all money that is made is ploughed back into the academy, the result of this is all safety equipment if the students cannot afford it is provided by the club e.g. headguards, gloves, body armour, boots.

All students are individually registered and insured with the governing body each student has their own certificate of insurance which they personally hold.
The BJJA(GB) is the only official governing body for ju-jitsu and we are supported by the Sports Council, this means all grading are fully recognised with different coloured certificates to match the belt with the Official governing body seal on each one.

Bushido has entered students both senior and junior in both local and National competitions.
We have national champions in all events sparring, groundwork and demonstrations, which we are very proud of.

Being both parents and instructors we understand some children learn quicker than others and some are less outgoing, so we have devised a special badge scheme where the younger students may train for badges this gives them great confidence and they know that they are progressing, a number of badges are awarded free e.g. good attendance, well behaved and smart etc.
